Norms, hierarchies, requirements and needs have changed. At the beginning of the transformation of office workplaces it was about space optimization. The Companies wanted to accommodate more employees in the same space. In Germany, there are still more individual offices than open-plan offices, in contrast to other countries. Here it is the other way around. From the cell to the open-plan office. However, open-plan offices cannot be equated with new ways of working and contemporary work. The need for original space savings has changed into a need for a better quality of life when working. Today the focus is on people, in contrast to the past when work alone was the deciding factor.

It's about a “marketplace” for the exchange of information and inspiration. It's more about flexibility and creating opportunities that support work.
